Just a quick post to test the new version 2 of the WordPress for iPhone app I discovered today. So far so good! Nice to be able to deal with pages and comments as well as posts. The local drafts never worked properly for me on the old version but they seem to be fixed [...]

It’s been a while since I’ve had anything useful to add to my iPhone tips series. I just ran into a problem today that I thought worthy of mention.
Having got my iPhone working in the UK with T-Mobile’s data service, I returned today to the USA and put my T-Mobile US sim card back in. [...]

In preparation to use the QuickPWN tool to pwn my iphone, I just upgraded to the 2.0.2 software via iTunes….
Imagine my surprise when, following the upgrade, my phone was still active!
Here’s Stephen Triffitt, in full Frank Sinatra garb, forgetting (as usual) that he’s not the real thing!!!
Typical!
Ever since I’ve a had a mobile phone that supported use of mp3s as ringtones, I’ve been making my own. When I got my iPhone, I was initially disappointed that, seemingly, the only way to do this was via the iTunes Store which involved paying for the ringtone – not something I’ve been accustomed to. I did some research and figured out that, since my phone was jailbreaked, it was possible to access the file system and add new ringtones that way but it was a convoluted process.
Then, quite by accident, I hit on another solution.
A friend of mine got an unlocked iphone the other day and all seemed to be working with the exception of his Voicemail button. This wasn’t an issue I’d had with mine but a quick Google turned up the necessary information. Many thanks to the guys on the iPhone Dev Team WiKi – not linked [...]
I posted a few days ago about my recent good fortune in winning an iPhone. I had already unlocked it and had it working in the USA with my US T-Mobile account without problem. However, I ran into a few issues getting my UK T-Mobile to work as easily. Here are a few tips [...]

It’s been a trying week for various reasons that I won’t go into here. One bright moment was, however, when I won an Apple iPhone on Thursday!!! I filled in a Customer Service survey a few weeks ago and was told, as is customary, that I’d been entered into a prize draw. The difference is [...]

I was unable to get online for a few days last week while the tour took me to Austria. A couple of days in I connected my laptop to the internet via my mobile phone, just to catch up on my email.

If it is any consolation, I paid thru the iphoneunlock people too, 29,99 + vat. They then point out that the unlock doesn’t work with 02 payandgo (there are no “edge” settings available). Everything works on the phone except internet
connection (works fine thru wi-fi) but going to go into t-mobile and see if I can get it working with one of their SOLO + web’n'walk packages.

@Phil
Those settings worked for us so I didn’t investigate further. You could try the alternate settings listed on the Carphone Warehouse page linked above. Good hunting….
