A Word To The Wise.

I was unable to get online for a few days last week while the tour took me to Austria. A couple of days in I connected my laptop to the internet via my mobile phone, just to catch up on my email.

Can I recommend that you don’t do this, unless you’re aware of the roaming charges for the service when abroad; I checked my mobile phone account online and found that I’d been charged £115(GBP) before VAT. Unfortunately, one of the emails had contained a set of attached photos which meant that I downloaded about 16MB of data. A nasty surprise to say the least.

It’s just another in the long list of ways that the mobile phone companies screw us over every day.
