Falling Off Google.

I was just testing out the Google Mobile service on my mobile phone. As I am prone to doing (in my typical egotistical manner), I searched for my own name; Bryan Davis, and was shocked to discover that, after a good couple of years as #1 result, my personal site has disappeared from the list. Now, fair enough, I have closed the site for maintenance but that was less than 24 hours ago – are the Googlebots really spidering that efficiently?

I suppose I should get on with the redesign of the site post haste. I wonder if I’ll be reintroduced to the Google results in such a timely fashion?

Thanks to Greivsy for passing this one on. It certainly raised a chuckle…

A Word of Explanation

Please disregard the current state of this website. I’m just in the process of restarting the TrumpetBoy site after it all went a bit wrong with my previous Webhost and Domain provider. So far, I’ve had time to install Wordpress and import most of the Tech related posts from my personal site. The Portfolio and an actual site-design will follow shortly!!

In the meantime, look on the bright side; at least I found time to upload a different template rather than the Wordpress default!

Update: All previous posts from my old “Life of Bryan” blog are now on this site – this will be my permanent weblog home from now on. This is better explained in my final post over there; “Shipping Out” (this will be quoted here for completeness once the other site is revamped).

Right. Time to fire up the text editor….

Fordy’s Coconut Shy

Fordy’s Coconut Shy

We had tremendous fun converting Fordy’s mute stand into a Coconut Shy. Here it is in all it’s glory – only £1 for 3 throws!!!

I haven’t had such a laugh in ages as tonights show which we performed with our full equipment on stage for the first time – all the normal stuff plus 4 coconuts!!! Well done to Andy Cuss for his help in printing out the sign and finding a couple of the coconuts – truly a job well done. Well done to Fordy for being such a good sport about it!!!

Having a pint to celebrate having glasses for the first time since I was twelve!!

A couple of weeks ago, when the tour took us to Norwich, I had an eye test and found that I needed glasses for the first time in my adult life (I had reading glasses when I was 12!). We went for lunch the day I got them and I was snapped in action while testing them out. Good to see that I look suitably intellectual!!
