Wordpress 1.5 as CMS!!

I’ve just finished the first stage of converting the Cat Pack website to run from a Wordpress install. The reason for this is to allow the bandleader, Rich, to update most of the content himself.

All in all it went pretty smoothly - the theme functions are great for this purpose. It now runs as a series of static pages generated from the postings which are split into categories with the same names as the pages. It’s probably a severely convuluted way of doing things but it was the one that made most sense to me.

Before long, I’ll have much less responsibility for this site which will lessen the load considerably - funny how voluntary work ends up taking over your life….
